The Divya Washing Machine (DWM) is off-grid and a portable-clothes washing technology. It is a hand-cranked device that uses mechanical energy to agitate and clean clothes. The machine has outer size of; 73x69x68 cm and weight of 30kg per box. It has a stainless steel 5kg drum capacity and was designed to use 30l of water per washing cycle, save detergent use, saving up to 75% of time and 50% of water compared to hand washing of clothes.
The Dosatron is a non-electric online chlorine dosing technology that utilizes in-built pressure energy within the transmission line to pump chlorine into the reservoir tank. The water supply system is designed with a bypass that leads water into the Dosatron and the chlorine mixing tank, the piston strokes create the suction effect which can suck the chlorine and pump it back to the transmission main which then leads the chlorine to the reservoir tank where mixing of the chlorine occurs.
The Poldaw riser system consists of pipes made of uPVC with pressure rating of 20 bars. The pipes are joined using threaded PVC collars and GI sockets. The system is designed for installations on boreholes of upto 60m deep. Its joints are fully dismantlable, facilitating maintenance. It also has a head pump that is customized with a galaxy chain mechanism and a 10.8mm diameter plain rod with lock nut, reducing overall weight during operation.
The Portable Erosion Chlorinator is a compact, non-electric device designed for point-of-use water chlorination. It uses erosion technology to release controlled amounts of chlorine into water as it passes through the system, ensuring safe drinking water at the household level.
The SV36 is a non-chlorine liquid disinfectant formulated to inactivate microbial contaminants in untreated water through oxidative mechanisms that disrupt bacterial cell walls and metabolic processes. The product, prepared as a 0.36% solution, was designed for ease of application at the household or small-community level, requiring no mechanical or electrical equipment. It is applied at a dosage of two drops per litre, providing effective microbial control within a 45-minute contact time.
